Newbold Brow farm is one of the earliest dwellings in Rochdale, established at around the same time as Newbold Street.
It changed over the years, but neighbours have said they would get employment at the farm during their school holidays.
Eventually most of the farming fields were sold to developers. This was due to a number of reasons including shortage of labour, neglect and as the value of it's land increased, its products became less attractive.
Today just three of its sections of it are left. The main farmhouse now known as Newbold Brow Farm, the Barn, now known as High Meadow and the last remaining field known as land off Dale Street which is now under threat from developers.
It is still possible to buy products such as eggs, honey and homemade jams and marmalades from the farm.
